Zest for work

Take a few stretching and breathing exercise before attending to your teeth and toilet.
Eat your breakfast with attention. Avoid arguments or reading the newspaper when eating. If you keep your papers and hand-bag ready the previous night, you can leave the house in time and without hustle.
Have a smile and cheery word for your fellow travelers and strive to make at least one new contact every week by exchanging cheap-edition books, magazines, etc.
I remember an old gentleman, working in my office, who, on reaching the office, used to bow reverently and touch the step of the office building and then touch his forehead with the same fingers. When I asked him what this gesture signified, he explained that this building provided him with work and helped him to earn for his family; therefore it deserved his respect and even reverence. If more worker held this attitude to their place of work, and especially to their employers, there would be more productivity, less clock-watching and no strikes.
So enter the office with zest for work.
